Description:
The precious jewelry box stands at 7inches tall and 14 inches wide. It is hand crafted from maple and red oak stock planed down to size, cut to form, and sanded to excellence. It is made entirely of wood joints and wood glue, the only metal on the jewelry box is the hinges hanging on the top cover. The two drawers which are 1-1/8 deep, 11-1/4 large, and 5-3/8 long slide in and out on a wood inlay which slides into the sides of the drawers. The drawer manages are maple and have a rounded shape. All-time low of the drawers and top are lined with a brown cushioned insert. The lid is hung on by inch long hinges and padded so that it does not slam shut. The sides of the cover are curved In to include to the appeal in addition to a curved out handle which is inlayed into the cover. The legs are maple and have a curve that was hand sanded as show in the pictures. The whole project was doned with 320 grid sandpaper then clear covered with polyurethane.
