Antique Furniture - Set of 8 Chairs (2 with armrest (corner chairs) & 6 without armrest). Item Description - Original Period Victorian Chairs, Set of 8 Chairs, 2 With Side-arms. Ornately carved. The back & the seat are with initial woven walking stick. Product History - Was bought in an Antique shop in West Palm Beach, Florida in 1997. Based upon the examination chairs date Circa 1870 -80 & are freely based on 18th Century Louis XVI Style examples. This design was restored by 1875, most frequently for Salon sets & occasional tables & towards the end of the Century Dining room furnishings ended up being vital in this design. Medium - Solid Mahagony. Condition - Completely restored by an Antique finisher, in great condition. New upholstery. Color - Expresso.
