Luca was abandoned and living in a school yard dumpster in Brooklyn. He is about two years old. Luca has a curious nature when it comes to other felines and often seeks them out for companionship. He is extremely attached to his buddy Fortune and follows him everywhere. He loves to play with other cats, and even tolerates the presence of dogs. He is cautious around people when he first meets them, but with time, treats and following the social cues of his brother from another mother Fortune, he will be putty in your hands in no time. Once he is comfortable he will be seeking out affection and will even roll over for belly rubs and give you kisses! Luca is neutered, tested for all parasites, negative for both FELV/FIV, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. Please consider Luca (and his brother Fortune), they both have so much love to give!Adoption processAfter an application is submitted, the applicant is run through the NYS Animal Abuse Registry, references including vet are checked and a home visit is required. There is also an adoption fee.Shelter locationWe hold our bi-monthly adoption events at Pets Supplies Plus located at 74-17 Grand Avenue, Maspeth, NY 11378 . There is free parking and it is close to many subway and bus lines.Our events are usually held from 1-5:30.
