Adoptable Airport BunnyThis past Sunday, we got a call from someone at LAX. They had adopted a bunny from one of the City animal shelters a few months ago and thought they could fly with him out of state. Unfortunately when they arrived, the airline (Delta) would not let bunny on the plane! One of our amazing volunteers dropped everything and rushed to the airport to save him. We're lucky she was available because we're often spread thin with veterinary emergencies and more. To apply for this rabbit, go to www.larabbits.org and fill out an online application form: http://larabbits.org/adoption-application/ All our rabbits are spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated for RHDV2 and litter box trained!Adoption processOur rabbit adoption fee includes the neuter, vaccination and micro chip (we do not adopt out unaltered rabbits under any circumstances). Rabbits must live in an indoor, cage-free environment. Exercise pens that are at least 4' x 4' with additional run time in a rabbit-proofed room are acceptable. Note: We do not adopt out of the Greater Los Angeles area unless the adopter has previously adopted from us.Shelter locationWe are adopting out rabbits by appointment only. Location of meeting place will be provided after potential adopters and organization have agreed on meeting specific rabbits. Our weekly mobile adoption venue is ON HOLD for nowdue to COVID-19. All rabbits will have to be vaccinated for RHDV2 to meet there in future.
